Boycott Senator Specter

Senator Arlen Specter needs to get out of the NFL’s business. Because, despite what the Pennsylvania senator thinks, Roger Goodell is a big boy and he can handle his job. The Senator needs to be fixing pork-barrel spending, or adding funding to urban school districts. Not investigating Spygate. But, he knows this.
Which is exactly why he’s doing it.
He wants to get his name out there so he can be re-elected. At least 50% of Americans don’t follow the issues when it comes to voting. So, if he can get his name out there, he has a greater chance of being re-elected.
Think of it this way. Philadelphia and Pittsburgh are the two biggest cities in Pennsylvania. Both of them have NFL teams in them. Those fans follow the NFL closely. So, if they are watching the eleven P.M SportsCenter, and they say ‘The story that won’t go away. Spygate! Is Pennsylvania senator Arlen Specter still calling out Roger Goodell on Spygate? Find out on SportsCenter. Back in 60 seconds!’ the Eagles/Steelers fan says ‘Hey he’s from Pennsylvania!’ and when they go to vote, they have Arlen Specter ingrained in their brains.
Specter doesn’t give a rat’s ass about the NFL. But, he sure as hell cares about getting re-elected. The government is corrupt. Why can’t they just do the right thing? Why not just be satisfied about doing a great job on your first term. If you were really good, you SHOULD get re-elected. But, instead, they’re just trying to get re-elected. They [the government officials] don’t care about making a positive difference in what MATTERS (the most)
It’s sad when our Senate doesn’t do as good a job as sports officials do.
